Steven Horwitz

Mr. Horwitz has over 28 years of successful experience leading organizations in various stages of growth, profitability and strategic business development.  With a highly successful track record, he has held senior executive positions in a wide range of software and technology enabled services organizations, pioneering new markets, such as Business Process Management (BPM).

Most recently Steven was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Astadia, Inc., a venture backed technology enabled services and consulting firm focused on cloud enablement within the ecosystem.  He joined Astadia in a strategic leadership role after serving as Chairman beginning late 2008 representing Kodiak Venture Partners, where he was an operating partner. While at Astadia; he recruited an exceptional senior leadership team, with a laser focus on productivity/margin, productizing service offerings, and overall messaging, driving an engaged go-to-market strategy. Focused on the growing enterprise Cloud sector, he led Astadia to one of the leading firms servicing, Eloqua, Xactly and cloud transformation services, resulting in a successful exit in August 2012.

Prior to Astadia and Kodiak, he served as; President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Vettro a cloud enabled mobile platform that was sold to Antenna Software and Executive Chairman of Vericom Technologies, a mobile resource management company, which was ultimately acquired by Telogis.

In 2006, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Clareos, Inc, directly following his role at RulesPower, where as President and CEO, he executed a turnaround of the pioneering rules engine technology company resulting in a sale to Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO).  Prior to RulesPower, Mr. Horwitz served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Q-Link Technologies, one of the leading companies in the (BPM) Business Process Management sector.  After 3 1/2 years, backed by DFJ, 

Q-Link had a successful exit to Adobe Systems (ADBE).

From 1997-2000, he served as Vice President of Business Development and Client Services of Tech Data Corporation (TECD) engineering one of the largest outsourcing agreements in the history of technology distribution with GE Capital.  He has also held senior management positions with ENTEX Information Services, The Future Now, ComputerLand and Intelligent Electronics.  He currently serves as a Director of Visual Mining, Qvidian and Intelladon. Steven holds a B.B.A. in Finance, Banking, and Investments from Hofstra University and resides in St. Petersburg FL with his wife and children.
